1945년 이탈리아 Giazotto가 "Adagio in G minor For Strings and Organ"
라는 이름으로 이 곡이 완성되었답니다.
세게 제 2차 대전 이후 허무주의가 만연했던 그 시대 속에서
미래를 품을 수있는 이런 비통한 음율이 탄생했나 봅니다.
1992년 세리비아 점령 사라예보에서 22명이 폭탄에 사망하는 일이 벌어지고,
"베르린 스마일로비치"라는 첼로 연주자가 22명의 유명을 달래는 연주를
세르비아와 보스니아 대치점, 바로 22명이 죽은 그 자리에서
목숨을 걸로 아다지오 음악을 22일 동안 연주 합니다.
인류가 할 수 있는 가장 비인간적인 동족(?)간의 내전 속에 적어도 그 22일, 그 음악 속에서는
평화가 깃들 수 있었습니다.
