America - America (1971,2)
포크록 밴드 'America'는 세명 모두 미국인인데 1970년 영국에서 결성되었다.
세명 모두 영국에 주둔한 미군의 아들로 같은 고등학교에서 처음 만났기 때문이다.
1971년말 America는 'America'라는 타이틀로 엘범을 발표했으나 크게 주목받지는 못한다.
첫 앨범의 흥행이 실패하고, 1972년 1월 싱글로 발표한 'A horse with no name'이 히트한다.
이에 A horse with no name 곡을 추가한 1집을 재발표하여 크게 성공을 거두게 된다.
Crosby, Steel, Nash & Young 과 비슷한 포크록 스타일로 뭍혀버릴 뻔했던 America의 1집에서
