A Wild Snapshot Appears

야생의 스냅샷이 나타났다. (….뭐래)

 

To answer the question on everyone’s mind - we did not skip last week’s Meta Snapshot by choice! As many of you may, or may not know, Tempo Storm recently went through some pretty serious maintenance. Unfortunately this maintenance caused a lot of problems with the Snapshot to the point where we were unable to post it. There are a couple bugs floating around the site and if you find any, we would appreciate it if you could email the details of the bug to [email protected] (if you can add a screenshot of the bug, that would be even better). So in spite of still working through a couple of Snapshot related bugs, we knew we couldn’t deprive you of the tier list for another week! If you are seeing any bugs, try clearing your cache.

모든 사람들의 마음에 답하자면 – 우리는 저번 주 메타 스냅샷을 원해서 건너 뛴 것이 아니다. 여러분이 아는지 모르는지는 알 수 없지만, 템포스톰은 최근에 꽤나 중요한 점검을 진행했다. 불행하게도, 이 점검은 메타 스냅샷부터 여러 부분에서 많은 문제를 불러일으켰으며, 이로 인해 우리는 업데이트를 할 수가 없었다. 지금 여러 개의 버그가 사이트에 존재하고 있으며, 만일 당신이 어떤 것이든 이를 발견해서[email protected] 으로 제보해 준다면(스크린샷을 첨부해 준다면 더욱 좋겠다.) 매우 감사할 것이다. 

 

This week there was some debate among the Snapshot Experts as to which deck would fill the fourth spot in Tier 1(or if there was a deck worthy of it). While it was not a debate between Freeze Mage and any other deck in particular, the discussion revolved around whether or not Freeze Mage was a Tier 1 deck or top of Tier 2. The reasoning behind pushing it down to Tier 2 is the slight increase in Warriors on ladder looking to take advantage of Freeze Mages for a free win. Every time Freeze Mage becomes more prevalent on ladder, players switch to Control Warrior to keep the combo deck in check. Even with a fair number of Freeze Mage players on ladder, this meta is not great for Control Warrior. Both Mid-Range Druid and Secret Paladin are very poor match-ups for Control Warrior, and while Freeze Mage has been fairly popular, both Mid-Range Druid and Secret Paladin are insanely popular. The risk of running into Mid-Range Druid or Secret Paladin is much higher than running into a free win Freeze Mage, which has discouraged several people from playing Control Warrior, and it has kept Freeze Mage in Tier 1.

 

이번 주에는 스냅샷 전문가들 사이에서 1티어 4번째 자리를 어느 덱으로 채우는가(혹은 그 자리를 채울 가치가 있는 덱이 있는가)에 대한 논쟁이 있었다. 냉법과 다른 덱 중 어떤 덱인지에 대해서는 큰 논쟁이 없었지만, 주로 냉법이 1티어덱이냐, 2티어의 1위 덱이냐를 중점으로 토론을 했다. 2티어로 내려야 한다는 이유는 전사가 약간 등급이 상승한 것은 냉법들을 공짜로 잡아먹었기 때문이라는 것이었다. 언제나 냉법이 등급전에서 많이 보이면, 플레이어들은 방밀덱으로 갈아타면서 콤보 덱들에게 체크메이트를 부른다. 솔직히 말하자면 등급전에 냉법이 많은 수가 있다고 하지만, 지금의 메타는 방밀에게는 좋지 않다. 미드드루와 파마 기사는 방밀에게는 매우 나쁜 상성을 가지고 있으며, 냉법이 꽤나 많아지긴 했으나, 미드드루와 파마는 미친 수준으로 인기를 끌고 있다. 냉법을 만나 얻는 공짜 승리 대신, 미드드루와 파마기사와 만날 리스크가 더 크고, 이는 여러 플레이어들이 방밀전사를 굴리고자 하는 의욕을 꺾으며, 따라서 이러한 상황을 감안하여 냉법을 1티어에 유지시켰다.

 

The big jump this week (which would have been less dramatic if the Snapshot had been published last wee) is Murloc Paladin. The fun combo deck, which we’re pretty sure started as a Hearthstone meme more than anything, has turned into a legitimately competitive deck. Several players have found a great deal of success in high Legend ranks with Murloc Paladin, and looking at the match-ups it is obvious why. Murloc Paladin has some very strong match-ups against popular decks like Renolck and Control Priest. In spite of this addition to the Tier 2 ranks, Murloc Paladin is not a game changer, it doesn’t seem like the new Paladin archetype that will take the ladder by storm and dominate the meta in a couple weeks. I would be happy to be proven wrong and see Murloc Paladin rise to Tier 1 and dislodge this stagnating meta, but it seems unlikely.

 

이번 주, 멀록 성기사가 크게 뛰어올랐다. (만일 저번 주에 스냅샷이 나올 수 있었다면 좀 덜 드라마틱 했을 것이다) 처음 시작은 단순한 하스스톤 밈(Hearthstone meme : 의 정확한 뜻을 아시는 분은 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다. 예능덱? 으로 추정하고 있습니다만)으로 시작했을 뿐인 덱이, 지금은 정당하고 경쟁력이 있는 덱으로 변모했다. 몇몇 플레이어들은 멀록성기사를 통해 높은 전설 등수를 달성했으며, 대전을 보고 있으면 그 이유는 명확히 알 수 있다. 멀록기사는 인기있고 대중적인 덱 중 리노흑마와 컨사제에 대해 강력한 상성을 가지고 있다.멀록기사가 2티어로 올라오기는 했으나, 게임 체인저(게임의 판도를 뒤바꾸는 역할)는 되지 않으며, 템포스톰과 메타를 여러 주(week) 휘어 잡을 만큼의 새로운 덱처럼 보이지는 않는다. 나는 이러한 예상이 틀려서 멀록기사가 1티어로 올라가 지금의 정체된 메타를 흔들어 주었으면 좋겠는데, 그럴 것 같지는 않다. (이젠 미드기사가 아예 2티어에서 빠져버렸네요.)

 

The new decks this week have appeared in Tier Shaman, where our Non-Aggro Shaman decks remain. Combolock is an interesting deck, not to be confused with the combo iteration of Renolock, it is reliant on an unusual combo involving Arcane Golems, Power Overwhelming, and Faceless Manipulator. The deck can put out huge damage in a single turn, but it is not quite OTK. The other new deck is Reno Mage, a list created by our very own JustSaiyan. As with most Reno Jackson lists, Reno Mage runs a series of one-ofs in order to reliably get the heal from Reno, while running a couple fun combos. Saiyan has streamed this deck multiple times, so the best way to learn how to play it is by watching is stream!

 

이번 주 새로운 덱은 어그로덱이 아닌 주술사덱이 남아있는 주술사 티어(역주 : 4티어를 아예 주술사 티어로 불러버리네요)에서 등장했다.콤보흑마는 흥미로운 덱으로써, 리노흑마의 콤보 변형덱과는 혼동하지 말아야 하며, 일반적이지 않은 비전골렘+압도적인힘+배후자 콤보를 중심으로 하는 덱이다. 이 덱은 한 턴에 거대한 데미지를 줄 수 있지만, 원턴 킬까지는 아니다. 또 다른 덱은 리노 마법사로, 우리(템포스톰)전문가인 JustSaiyan이 만들어 낸 덱이다. 다른 리노잭슨 덱과 같이 리노 법사는 리노의 힐을 받기 위해 한장짜리로 이루어진 덱을 구성하며(one-ofs의 정확한 뜻 아시는 분? 하이랜더 덱을 뜻하는 것으로 이해하고 있습니다만..) 그 동안 몇몇의 재미있는 콤보를 사용한다. (역주: 덱을 살펴봤는데 https://tempostorm.com/hearthstone/decks/reno-mage-meta-snapshot-44 특별히 재밌을 만한 콤보는 없어 보이던데 말이죠.. 브란 보박딱/창조술사나 복제를 활용한 상대 짜증은 유발할 수 있을 거 같은데.. 흠;; ) Saiyan 은 이 덱을 방송에서 여러 번 사용하므로, 어떻게 플레이하는지 배우고 싶다면 방송을 보시기를!
