하지만 최근 일본의 행동들은 나의 등줄기를 섬뜩하게 만들고 있어, 가만히 있을 수가 없다. However, the current steps that Japan is taking are tingling my spine, making me impossible to keep quiet.
나는 아직까지도 무지한 당신들에게 일본이 무엇이 되어가고 있는지 말해주겠다. For you who are ignorant, I will tell you what Japan is becoming right now.
나를 걱정하게 만드는것은 요즘 일본이 2차세계대전 발발 직전의 독일과 너무 유사하다는 점이다. What makes me worried is that Japan in theses days look just like Germany before the onslaught of World War 2.
1. 우선, 일본은 독일이 했던것 처럼 지난날 자신들의 전쟁의 과오를 까맣게 잊어버렸다. 1. First, Japan has totally forgotten its mistake, just like Germany did.
일본은 2차 세계대전 당시 한국과 중국에 행한 만행을 교과서에서 미화하고 있으며, 도저히 미화되지 않는 부분은 삭제했다. 또한, 일본은 헌법 9조를 무시하고 군대를 양성하고 있고, 군사비 지출 순위가 세계 4위다. Japanese textbooks make Japan's barbarism towards China and Korea look beautiful by using nice words, and they exclude some facts that are simply impossible to do so. Also, Japan is ignoring its ninth comandment of law and is now building its military, and is currently fourth in the world on military spenditure.
독일은 히틀러의 압력하에 1차대전때 주변국가에 입힌 피해 보상을 위한 빚을 무효화 시켰다. 그리고 1933년 3월에 "Enabling Act"라는 법 조항을 만들어 군대를 가져선 안된다는 헌법을 무효화 시킨후 군대를 양성했다. Germany, under Hitler's pressure, nullified the fine it had to pay for the havoc it has caused during the World War I. And on March 1933, the Enabling Act was passed to let Germany deviate from its constitution, and Germany started building its own military.

2. 다음, 현재 일본은 독일이 프로파간다를 이용했던 것처럼 꽤나 완벽한 우민정책으로 국민들의 눈을 가리고 있다. 2. Next, current Japan is performing a rather perfect obscurantist policy to obscure its citizens' view, just like Germany did with its propaganda.
일본은 교과서를 이용하여 학생들을 홀리고 있으며, 일본 총리와 외무성은 신사참배와 독도(다케시마)분쟁을 통해 과격한 애국심을 불러일으키고 있다. Japan is using its textbooks to propagandize the students, and the Japanes minister and foreign minister is inciting jingoism by bowing to war criminals' memorials and creating the Dockdo-Dakeshima conflict.
2차 세계대전 당시의 독일은 인종차별적인 프로파간다를 통해 역시 국민들을 홀리고, 과격한 애국심을 불러일어켰다. The Germany right before the World War II used racist propaganda to propagandize the people and to incite jingoism.

3. 나를 가장 걱정시키고 있는 점은, 일본이 지금 2차 세계대전이 끝나고 포기했어야 할 땅을 가지고 자신들의 땅이라고 우기고 있다는 점이다. (그래, 독도(다케시마) 얘기다) 나치 독일이 어떤 방식으로 2차 세계대전을 시작했는지 아나? 바로 영토분쟁이다. 히틀러는 폴란드에게 1차 세계대전이 끝나고 독일이 포기한 땅을 도로 내놓으라고 하며 침공을 시작했다! 3. What is making me worried the most is that current Japan is demanding a land which it should have forfeited after World War II. (Yes, this is about Dockdo(Dakeshima)) Do you know how Nazi Germany began the War? It was the dispute over territory. Hitler began the invation by demanding Poland to give back the land Germany forfeited after World War I!
당신이 독도(다케시마)는 세계대전 전부터 일본 땅이었다고 우길 수도 있다. 그럼 대부분의 아시아는 한때 징기스칸의 땅이었으니 한국, 중국, 러시아 등등의 나라들은 지금 몽고의 땅이 되어야 하나? You may say that Dockdo(Dakeshima) was a Japanese territory even before the World Wars. Then do Korea, China, Russia and other Asian countries have to be a Mongolian territory, since most of Asia was once under Gengiskan?
난 한국에 사니까- 난 당신들의 나라에서부터 멀리 떨어져있으니까- 당신은 내가 하는 말은 별로 관심이 없을 수도 있다. Since I am living in Korea- since I live far from where you live- you may not have much of an interest in what I am saying.
하지만 이것이 정말 한국만의 문제인가? But is it really Korea's problem only?
제국주의에 의해 직접적으로든 간접적으로든 피해를 받지 않은 나라가 몇이나 되는가? How many countries are there that were not affected at all, either directly or passively, by imperialism?
일본이 2차세계대전 당시의 독일이 걷던 길을 똑같이 걷고 있다는 것은 분명 전 세계의 문제다. That Japan is walking the same path which the imperialistic Germany took is definitely a problem for the whole world.
만약 이번 독도(다케시마)분쟁에서 세계가 일본의 편을 들어준다면, 그것이 무엇의 편을 들어주는 것인지 세계는 알아야 한다. If the world is going to side with Japan in this Dockdo-Dakeshima conflict, the world must know what it is siding up with.
그리고 당신이 만약 일본인이라면, 내 말을 받아칠 생각부터 하지 말고 곰곰히 생각해봐라. And if you are a Japanese, try to think before you try to refute my claims.
