If you get the error message "PLEASE INSERT THE ORIGINAL ANNO 1602 CD" right after the successful installation of the game although there is the original "ANNO 1602" CD in your CD-ROM drive, please make sure that your computer isn't actually working in the so-called "Compatibility Mode". In order to check this, please right-click at the "My computer" icon on your windows desktop. Select "Properties" and then "Performance". Now the information on your system displayed there should read "Your system is configured for optimal performance". If this is not the case, but you found some kind of hint regarding the compatibility mode there, then please re-install the drivers for your CD-ROM drive. In order to get the latest drivers, please contact your PC dealer or try the respective website of your CD-ROM drive's manufacturer for downloading them from the internet.
