Korean Politics Suffer Growing Pains: Warwick By Ryu Jin Staff Reporter British Ambassador to Seoul Warwick Morris gave his cautious but optimistic views on the societal change South Korea is experiencing, comparing its politics to a “teenager that is growing up.” While talking with reporters at the British Embassy in Seoul, Morris said South Korea is still learning how democracy works. He was responding to a question regarding the nation’s political situation in the wake of the March 12 presidential impeachment. “Politics and democracy is still at a relatively early stage, but the changes are big. I’m optimistic in the changes,” he said.
