신과 같은 주인의 변덕을 참을성 있게 견뎌내는 거야.

마치 너의 신이 십자가를 앞세워 널 가르치고 눈을 멀게 했듯 말이다.

아무도 불쾌하지 않아. 아무도 - 단지...이미 죽은 지 오래된 신의 상징을 걸치는 것이

내겐 무례하게 보일 뿐이다.

나의 조상들은 우리를 우리의 조물주로부터 갈라놓는 문을 찾고, 그것을 열기 위해 노력하셨지.

하지만 신을 찾기 위한 문 따윈 필요치 않아요. 믿기만 한다면...

They rule this world.
믿어?! 믿는다라...속기 쉬운 아이구나.

이 세계를 둘러보고, 신의 미덕이 세계를 지배한다 믿을 수 있겠느냐?

기아, 역병, 전쟁, 질병, 그리고 죽음!

그것들이 세계를 지배하는 것이다.

사랑과 삶, 희망 또한 존재합니다.

만약 사랑과 삶의 신이 이전에도 존재했다면...

그는 죽은 지 오래야. 누군가가...뭔가가 그의 자리에서 지배하고 있지.
