1999년 사망합니다

2000년에 사후 앨범 2집

2010년 3집 발매했는데

 

사후 앨범을 제외하고도

1집 <Lifestylez Ov Da Poor and Dangerous>은 힙합계에 영원한 명반으로 남습니다

(힙합 유명잡지에서 별5개 만점)

 

그의 플로우, 프리스타일, 펀치라인, 라임은 독보적이였죠..

투팍, 비기, 다음 거론되던 이름이 빅엘일 정도니..

 

Big L이 멀쩡히 살아서 음악활동을 했다면 힙합씬이 이렇게 망하진 않았으리라 상상해봅니다 ..

 

한국에서도 빅엘을 존경하는 랩퍼가 많은데 그 중 한명이 dok2입니다

해외에 많은 래퍼들도 빅엘을 추모하여 노래 중간에

"Big L rest in peace"를 넣은 노래도 있습니다

 

단 한장의 앨범으로 레전드가 되어버린,

힙합의 골든에라(Golden Era)라고 불려지는 90년대에 짧게 활동하다 간
