1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning. 동성애는 비정상적이다. 진짜 미국인들은 비정상적인 것들을 항상 거부해왔다. 예를 들면 안경이나, 폴리에스테르나 에어컨 같은 것들을 말이다.
2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall. 동성결혼은 사람들을 동성애를 하게 만든다. 마치 키가 큰 사람들과 어울리면 내 키가 커지는 것처럼 말이다.
3) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract. 동성결혼이 합법화하는것은 말도 안되는 미친 행동을 부추기는 것이나 다름없다. 동성결혼이 가능하다면 사람들은 애완견들과 결혼을 하려 할지도 모른다. 동물들도 결혼 서약을 충분히 이해하고 서약서에 사인할 능력이 있으니 말이다.
4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; blacks still can't marry whites, women are still property, and divorce is still illegal. 이성애자 결혼은 변함없는 오랜 전통이다. 흑인들은 백인과 결혼할 수 없고, 여성은 아직도 소유물에 불과하며, 이혼은 여전히 불법인것 처럼 말이다.
5) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed. 동성결혼이 허용된다면 이성애자 결혼의 가치가 하락하게 될 것이다. 브리트니 스피어즈의 '재미로 한 55시간의 결혼'의 존엄성이 파괴될 것이다.
6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. infertile couples, and old people, and the gays shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more children. 이성결혼이 타당한 이유는 이성과 결혼을 하면 자식을 낳을 수 있기 때문이다. 불임부부, 노인들, 그리고 동성들에게는 결혼을 허용해선 안된다. 우리 고아원들은 아직도 수용인원이 꽉 차지 않았기 때문이다.
7) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children. 동성부부는 분명 동성애자 자식들을 키워낼 것이다. 이성애자들은 이성애자인 자식들만 키워내는것처럼 말이다.
8) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That's why we have only one religion in America. 동성애는 종교가 인정하지 않았다. 우리같이 신권이 국권보다 강한 나라는 한 종교의 믿음과 가치들은 나라의 모든 국민들에게 강요된다. 그래서 미국에는 오로지 한 종교만 존재하지 않는가?
9) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That's why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children. 아이들은 가정에 남성 롤모델과 여성 롤모델이 없으면 절대 훌륭한 사람으로 자라지 못한다. 그게 바로 우리 사회가 한부모 가정을 절대 금하는 이유이다.
10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms, just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans. 동성결혼은 우리 사회의 기반을 뒤흔들어 놓고 말 것이다. 우리는 절대 새로운 사회적 통념이나 규범에 적응하지 못한다. 우리가 자동차나, 서비스업계, 더 길어진 수명과 같은 것들에 적응을 하지 못한 것처럼 말이다.
