USAID is currently preparing documentation leading to contract arrangements for research in the area of how to integrate women into development project. This research will review selected USAID projects to identify the impact the activities should have on the economic and social status of women and how projects should be designed to integrate women into the mainstream of the economic development process. These studies will be conducted in such a way as to provide guidance and training to USAID as well as the developing country governments in the implementation and evaluation of future projects and programs.
