As a result, the exact truth behind the death of Corporal Chae Soo-geun in the line of duty has not even been identified.
Accordingly, the High-ranking Public Officials Investigation Office is investigating former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop on charges of exerting external pressure on the investigation of the case of the late Corporal Chae Soo-geun, who was killed in the line of duty. In addition, in January, former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop was banned from leaving the country as a suspect, and he is still banned from leaving the country.
Despite this, the South Korean government appointed former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop as South Korea's ambassador to Australia. And although it is said that the consent (agrement) of the other host country has already been obtained, the current Korean government is engaged in instigation and fabrication, so it is impossible to know whether it is true or not.
As a citizen of the Republic of Korea, I cannot agree with the appointment of former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop, who may be seriously responsible for the death of a South Korean soldier, as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Australia.
If Australia has agreed to appoint former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop as Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Australia, we earnestly ask you to withdraw.
If Australia has not yet agreed to appoint former Minister of National Defense Lee Jong-seop as Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Australia, we hope he will not agree to the appointment.

대한민국 정부의 주 호주 대한민국 대사 임명에 대한 의견 전달의 건
저는 대한민국 국민입니다. 귀 국가의 번영과 안녕을 기원하며 대한민국과 호주의 영원한 우호를 지지합니다.
작년 7월 대한민국에는 가슴 아픈 참사가 있었습니다.
경상북도 예천에서 수해가 발생하였고, 그로 인한 실종자를 수색하기 위해 해병대의 인원이 동원되었습니다. 이 과정에서 해병대 사령관의 불완전한 지시로 인하여 고 채수근 상병이 순직하였습니다.
이 사건을 해병대 수사단이 조사 후 기록을 경찰에 이첩하였으나, 이종섭 전 국방부 장관은 다시 회수하도록 지시, 협박을 하였습니다. 이로 인하여 고 채수근 상병 순직 사건은 정확한 진사의 파악조차 되지 않았습니다.
이에 고위공직자수사처는 이종섭 전 국방부 장관을 고 채수근 상병이 순직 사건 수사에 외압을 행사한 혐의로 수사 중에 있습니다. 또한 이미 1월에 이종섭 전 국방부 장관을 피의자 신분으로 출국금지 조치하였고, 현재도 출국 금지 상태입니다.
그럼에도 불구하고 대한민국 정부는 이종섭 전 국방부 장관을 주 호주 대한민국 대사로 임명하였습니다. 그리고 이미 상대 주재국의 동의(아그레망)도 받은 상황이라고 하지만 현재 대한민국 정부는 선동과 날조를 일삼고 있어서 사실 여부를 알 수 없는 대한민국 정부의 주장입니다.
대한민국 국민으로서 대한민국의 국군 장병이 사망한 사건에 심각한 책임이 있을 수 있는 이종섭 전 국방부 장관이 호주 대한민국 대사로 임명하는 것에 동의할 수 없습니다.
만약 호주가 이종섭 전 국방부 장관을 주 호주 대한민국 대사로 임명하는 것에 동의하였다면 철회를 간곡히 부탁드립니다.
만약 호주가 이종섭 전 국방부 장관을 주 호주 대한민국 대사로 임명하는 것에 아직 동의하지 않았다면 부디 임명에 동의하지 않기를 바랍니다.
