미네소타대 CIDRAP 연구진, 에볼라는 공기 전염병

미네소타대 CIDRAP(전염병 연구대책 센터)의 새로운 리포트에 따르면 에볼라는 공기 전염병이다.

 

대학의 연구진들이 에볼라가 호흡과 공기중 입자로 전염될 수 있다고 WHO와 CDC에 조금전 권고했다. 

미네소타대 CIDRAP 과학자들이 수술용 마스크는 에볼라 전염을 막지못한다고 의료진과 일반 시민에게 경고했다.

 

미네소타대 에볼라 리포트에 따르면 의료진은 '완전보호장비'와 '공기정화 동력 방독면'을 즉각 착용해야 한다. 

 

CIDRAP 는 2001년부터 공공건강과 대비에 대해 세계적 리더로 일해왔다.  

 

 

Ebola is airborne, according to a new report by the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy

(CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota. Researchers at the university just advised the World Health

Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that “scientific and epidemiologic evidence”

now exists that proves Ebola has the potential to be transmitted via exhaled breath and “infectious aerosol

particles.”

 

University of Minnesota CIDRAP scientists are now warning both health care providers and the general public

that surgical facemasks will not prevent the transmission of Ebola. According to the airborne Ebola report,

medical workers must immediately be given full-hooded protective gear and powered air-purifying respirators.

CIDRAP has reportedly been a worldwide leader in addressing public health and safety concerns and

preparedness since 2001.
